Sunday Evening Post

Merry Christmas!
A lot of holiday cheer this week.
Even more lounging around with family and friends.
Here are the pics...

My wife's gingerbread infused with Sir Alec Guinness's famous stout is shaped like a bundt.  Lord knows I love big, juicy bundts.

Homemade ornaments are the nicest ornaments.  A nice addition to the tradition.

I like children's books where we learn fun facts and are left feeling a little bad about ourselves.  Thanks, judgey book.  I needed that.

Some Christmas presents make you feel really, really good, and then others reach deep in your heart.  Thank you, L, B and J, for such a thoughtful gift.

Mushroom butt.  It does not take much to make my wife laugh.

If there was a daily show about L's mother's Long Island fridge, I'd be glued to my TV just to watch it be opened.  They should get Geraldo Rivera to host.

Wise decision teaching your child to enjoy menial labor at an early age.  The more I look at this picture, however, I realize how zen this is.  If you have to vacuum, simply become the the vacuum.

Merry Christmas from the L's, over in IL, soon to be in TX.

Yup.  That about sums it up.  Never has a candy been so fittingly named for one man.

Question: What do you get an 81 year old for Christmas?
Answer: A vintage leather football helmet.
Warning: He might not take it off.

Sadie knows how to entertain dinner guests.  She's better than any Broadway Show.

An ode to the best truffles in the northern hemisphere, sung to the tune of Roxanne, by The Police:
Roxanne, please turn on your oven light
Your Christmas truffles make my tastebuds feel so out of sight
Roxanne, please click on your oven light
Your mastery of the truffle has taken the Culinary Arts to a new height...

What happened o his family???  Creepy...

The new Rock, Paper, Scissors: Shrimp, Crab, Chicken.  Old Bay at the Henlopen Oyster House.  The Caesar Salad with grilled scallops is the bomb.

Kal-El knows how to bring the gifts.  Now that I think about it, that sounds like a Jewish name.  Now that I think about it more, so does Superman, sorta like Lieberman or Schwartzman.  Happy Hanukkah, Superman.

"Meow, Meow, come on!"
Lady with a cat on a leash (and meowing at it) down in Rehoboth.

See you next week.
