Sunday Evening Post

Muggy and hot with plenty of rain.
Here are the pics from the week.

I was walking barefoot around town until my Mom scared me into thinking I was going to catch tapeworms.  Now I wear these huraches by Xero Shoes.

Man down.
I know junk that you find at the beach is called flotsam, but what about stuff on the side of the road?

The doughnut saga went well into the week.
Things got pretty ugly.

This kid was hot-rodding and popped a wheel on the curb, but AA got him back on his way.

My first Wonder Woman Book.
Touch and Feel?
Zoinks.

Smorgasbord of seafood.

Hey, don't worry too much, young one.
It'll grow back.

My son went to robot camp and created this killing machine that swirls and chops other machines in half.

First attempt at poaching an egg.

I spotted this creature in a nursery and thought it was a hummingbird, but found out it is a snowberry clearwing moth.

Summer swimming

30 second haiku:
Vast metal chicken
Scanning the blue horizon.
Cluck Cluck Cluck Beekaw.

This jasper was stuck to our front door.  He wouldn't leave until we gave him a hambone.

Happy 67th to Poppy!
That is him with his three favorites:
M, J, and banana cake.

A closeup before it got destroyed by a bunch of hungry heathens.

See you next week!

  1. You are your father's son. The similarity is striking. A warning, as you get older you do turn into your father as I am constantly reminded by Bill (even today) who says "You're just like your dad." It is a fate all of us sons are destined for. Hope I didn't spoil your day. Another wonderful Sunday evening post! I could feel the summertime.

  2. I hope I get as tall as he is! If turning into my Dad is the worst that can happen, then life ain't so bad.
