Sunday Evening Post

While J went to Bedford Springs, PA with friends for mutual birthday R and R, the men-folk hit NYC for a Man-venture.

Momofuku pork bun on 1st Avenue in New York.
One of our favorite shows is PBS's "Mind of a Chef" which follows ramen guru chef David Chang around the world.  We stumbled upon his noodle bar as it was opening up for lunch and walked right in.  It turns out that the hype is valid because this was one of the best meals I have ever eaten.  I fell off the grain-free wagon for a day and I have no regrets about it.
B getting his Ramen on.

I think M actually stopped talking for five minutes, so you know it must be good.

We walked the High Line, a walkway restored high above the city streets that used to be a rail system.  All sorts of natural plants and greenery cover the entire 1.5 miles.

A couple tying the knot at Rockefeller Center.

Instead of New York pizza, we opted for late-night King of Pizza in Cherry Hill, NJ.

It came highly recommended from the one on the right.

I imagine in Hell, nothing works.  Public restrooms are always out of towels, cell phone reception is lousy, and you are always late for work.
The only thing that work correctly in hell are cats, and I am certain there are plenty of them there.

Birthday cupcakes.
Happy 133rd, ladies!
(The three of you don't look a day over ninety).

The last thing I want to hear a waiter asking is
"Who ordered the tuna menage a trois?"

Pouring rain forced the ladies indoors where they sipped champagne and watched movies.
The humanity.
(Notice that it is 3:37 PM).

Airing feet with a view.

Old school rich white people sure knew how to live it up!

One of the oldest indoor pools in the nation.
It sure is beautiful, but old fancy hotels give me the creeps.  I am always worried I am going to turn a corner and see this...

My son took this shot of my fig tree with blue skies above.
See you next week!
