Sunday Evening Post

Thank you goes a long way.
So does chicken salad.
The week in pics.

My son's honor roll breakfast provided both nourishment for the body…
and the soul.

Here is an action photo from the event.

Spotted "Christina's World" on display at the Rehoboth Beach Library.

Remember:
If you encounter a bear cub, leave it alone!
Their mothers are very protective of them and will charge humans.

Hannukah and Thanksgiving crossed streams this year, so our candle-lighting guests surprised us by showing up with a chocolate turkey!

The next time the two holidays cross is 79,043 years from now.

Latkes started the meal-

and homemade doughnuts ended it.

This young man proudly displayed his gift.

Plenty to be thankful for at Thanksgiving-

like apple pie,

and getting a chance to chug root beer.

All the celebrating got us in the Christmas mood, so M decorated this year's tree.

Mom got her tree up as well and hung these mice up.  This will be their 45th Christmas appearance on the family tree.  They were given to Mom by my Grandmother to remind her of all the mice that lived in the newlywed's first home.

My nephew discovered Grandad's old military cap and now he is diligently researching World War II.
He reminds me an old Andrews Sisters song.

See you next week.

  1. Oh how I miss those potato latkes my friend Harvey used to make every Hanukkah. He moved to Ft. Lauderdale Florida. That makes my two friends of the Jewish faith who now live in Ft. Lauderdale. What's with Ft. Lauderdale anyway? Take off point for all the cruises they take. Have a great week!

    1. Latkes are a huge bonus when it comes to marrying Jewish. I can only hope retirement to Fort Lauderdale is another. Have a great week, Ron.
