Sunday Evening Post

Long week with a splash of sunshine.
The world is slowly waking up from Old Man Winter's knockout punch.
7 days of images.

My work schedule changed a little this week and I ended up with a day off during the regular five day stretch.  J and I drove to Rehoboth and ended up walking six miles around town and on the boards.
I always feel strange on days like that.
It's like seeing a world you didn't know was there--a world that moves outside of work.

M worked diligently on a cake for my brother's birthday.

Here is the final result.  Very stylish font that reminds me of Speed Racer's car.
Only Speed can drive the Mach 5,
and it turns out only Chet could tame the Mach 45.
Happy B-day, Bro!

I think it's nice that young ladies take their Dads out every once in a while.  It keeps them on their toes.

My wife went out of town and my son asked me to take him to Taco Bell.  I have never been, so I was a little surprised to find out there is one right down the street.  Turns out they hide it in a KFC joint.
Genius!
That sort of gives it a chic exclusivity feel.
I passed, but M chowed on a Dorito and possum taco-
and it cost a nickel.

Here is the young one's haircut, which is sort of funny because I have been telling him to cut it like Morrissey for the past three years, but he would never listen.
Well, guess what?
You're only sideburns away now, mister.

A shot of the Robin Hood Diner logo down in Rehobo.  I wish they would bring this Robin Hood back in theaters.  Remember his intro from the Bugs Bunny appearance?
Good times.

Cats freak me out.
They always have the amazing ability to show up and stare at me.
I think he is giving the "Cat Power" salute.

We popped in to (a)muse for popcorn ice cream, peanut cake and caramel mousse. aka the crackerjack.

 Ideal places and times.
They are out there.

See you next week.

  1. Beautiful shot of "the boards" before the summer onslaught. Normally I would be down in Rehoboth taking similar photos for my blog headers but, you know, I'm not getting around much these days. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. Enjoy this beautiful weather, winter is gone!
