Sunday Evening Post

Tough week.
No pictures taken so I had to pull from old ones.
My project has taken up a lot of time but I hope to complete it soon.

My son and his watermelon lego.
Be careful of the seeds.

The late and great Sonny Vinyard
He and his father built sub chasers and yachts in Milford, Delaware.

Sweet potato on a stick.  It's the breakfast of champions.

There's a lot of talk going on these days about Ronald Reagan.  Here's a shot of me sharing a stogie with him at the Ropewalk in Baltimore.

This is Wilbur "Hobo" Pearce, my great-grandmother's brother.
He was a big time Civil War buff who would tie tree branches to table legs so his dogs had indoor restrooms.  Very inventive.

Here he is again with his entire family.  He's the one on the far right in the chair.

I found this interesting.  This is Delaware's colonial flag before it became a state.

This is my nephew Jackson.
(I hope I didn't blow his cover).

Captain America.

This statue of the Delaware minute men stands on the east side of the capitol building in Dover.

"Pounds of Tobacco".
Try to work it into a sentence this week.

  1. Missed you. Great pictures as usual. Especially the grand old family picture of your Hobo's family. Week wouldn't be complete without the Sunday Evening Post. Thank you for sharing again. Have a good week! :)

  3. Correction: Hobo was Wilbur Pearce, not Counselman.
