Sunday Evening Post

You better watch out.
You better not cry.
The week in photos.

Nothing more humbling than seeing a wiener shack shut down.  What is the world coming to?

My wife and I stopped by her favorite restaurant in Nueva Jersey.  Watching these two made her feel good.

My son spent his weekend in New York City.  Here is the one of the first photos he sent us -
the view from his hotel room window.

This is Central Park from the 35th floor of the Mandarin Oriental.  He went there for tea
(He leads a very rough life).
That reminds me,
I recall Central Park in fall.
How you tore you're dress.
What a Mess!
(I must confess).

Rainbows over the school.

Max and Phyllis

Cream cheese melt-aways with meyer lemon glaze.
(Let the holiday gluttony begin).

Christmas tree afire.

Cousin Beth and Max getting ready to visit the Frick Museum.

The Great Cookie Swap of 2011.

I was abhorred to see that Lilly's snack bag did not have a poem written on it, so I hurriedly scribbled one down.
Crisis averted
and our reputation was saved.

E meets a dinosaur.

In line for FAO Schwartz.

My friend went to Dallas to see the game.
I told him to send a picture of his seat.
Yeah.  Nice seat.

New wind turbines on a nearby house.

Good old Mr. Dick!
He is always going above and beyond.

Some things are too good.
If you eat one, you end up eating ten.

I picked up a new rolling chair.
Captain James Tiberius Kirk would be jealous.

Finally!
A good book has found its way on my night table.

While in NYC, my son saw the broadway show,
"Spider-man, Turn off the Dark".
He said it was awesome,
but was it Spider-man 1960s theme song awesome?
You be the judge.

See you next week.

  1. Those turbines look like giant egg beaters. By the way, how many times has Mr. Dick ruined a marriage?....probably more than he has saved

  2. ..and it rained all over my cake and I'll never have that recipe again!" Outstanding hotel window view! Outstanding Sunday Evening Post! And those wind turbines, vaguely erotic. Hmmm.

  3. Erotic in like a Georgia O'Keefe way? More like neurotic.
