Sunday Evening Post

Wow.
Last week was so full we needed an extra day to get it all in.
8 days of pic.

My nephew E stayed with us for a few days.
(Don't let his parents see this photo.  We fed him a bunch of junk.)

At least we forced him to burn it off by riding his bike up and down the lane, dodging Nerf bullets.

Bedtime.

Firefly stormed the town.
Here is a scene from every early 1980s film where a bunch of weird, hip kids infiltrate the straight-laced town, and the two groups at first really hate each other, but some common goal binds them together and they overcome adversity as a team and then they put their differences aside and understand that deep down, they are all the same
(roll credits).

Bun in the oven.

In super small writing underneath the logo it says:
"My Mom took me to Firefly in utero and all I got is this lousy onesie".

As you can see, there was acre upon acre of lush, green grass to soberly rest upon and bask in the beauty of the day.

Meanwhile, my son went to his grandparents' home for the weekend where he whipped up a tres leches cake with raspberries.

Back in DE, his Mom was chilling with the gang.

Good times were had.

That's crazy.  Someone drew a spaceship on that inflatable gator's belly.
Whacky!

Exhibit A as to why I always stress sensible footwear.  It might not look as cool, but it keeps your tootsies safe and clean.

I was business, she was pleasure, and both of us wore ourselves out.
I caught up on some needed Zzzzzs and she caught this photo.

Approximately 75,000 people came to my town from all over the world, and I met quite a few of them.
However, my favorite three are these little men that live directly across from the entrance
(ALWAYS root for the home team).

See you next week.

  2. Hi there! My name is Justin and my friend came across this blog and saw a picture of us! We're those bunch of weird, hip kids, haha. I'm the person all the way to the left. I loved the caption that went along with the picture! From the moment we arrived at Dover, we felt welcomed with open arms. I hope we and the rest of the festival goers treated Dover as well as they've treated us. I have to say I really enjoyed reading your blog and I hoped you had a great time at firefly! Take care!
