Sunday Evening Post

A lot of birthdays this week and for some reason, comic book characters.
The week in pics.

J and M continued their Miami expedition
by eating through the Gulf.

Cuban toast and cafe leche.  The breakfast of campeones!

 Two counts of statutory rape.
(I crack myself up).

These two gentlemen hang at this bus stop everyday to catch up and chat.
The one on the left is a Korean War veteran and the one on the right was a fighter pilot during World War II.
If you happen to be down in Key Biscane, look them up and say hello.
You'll be glad you did.

It's a tough life, but somebody has to do it.

M turned 13 this week and received a slew of attention and well wishes.

Magic hands received an awesome cake that we all helped make disappear.
It all goes by so quickly.

My brother also received word that he got the job he had interviewed for, so congrats were in order for him as well.

I am a huge fan of comics and have been all of my life.  I have followed the stories of Marvel Superheroes since the seventies.  I am happy that the stories are still fresh and that now, both young boys and girls are forgetting about the real world for a little while and immersing themselves in America's mythology.
Wolverine and Black Widow in a pose-off at the Annapolis Barnes and Noble.
Thor, the God of Thunder, wielding his mighty hammer, Mjolnir.

Looks like E met some real life heroes at the US Forest Service office.  He even got sworn in as a Junior Ranger.
That is one official looking handshake.

My other nephew got bit by the fishing bug.

J had a big birthday as well and received happy wishes from this guy.

One of the first stops after summer camp for these three was the Krispy Kreme doughnut joint.  I hope the "fresh from the oven" light was turned to on.

Jersey Girl body butter.
It smells like hairspray and Marlboros.

For his birthday, I took my son to go see the movie Guardians of the Galaxy.  Spider-man was there to show his support
(and everything else).

See you next week.
